Audi RS6 –2013-18 (C7)

The C7 Audi RS6 was announced in 2012 and launched later in 2013. Replacing the sonorous V10 from its predecessor (the C6), the new car had a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 engine developing 553bhp and over 700Nm of torque. This new engine develops slightly less overall power than the V10, but a greater torque improved the overall driver experience. It accelerates from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and onward to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. Owners that selected the Dynamic Plus package have this de-restricted to 174mph. The power is controlled by an eight speed Tiptronic gearbox and sent through the AWD system to all four wheels. To help keep control this power, UHP ultra high-performance tyres were needed. Audi turned to their tyre partners at Bridgestone once again for the development on this car. The tyres help this family estate car with enough room for five adults, luggage, and a well-behaved dog, behave like a supercar you can drive every day. The car also needed to be able to stop, from factory the car was offered as standard with cross drilled and vented steel brakes. This particular car has its stopping power further improved with the addition of the Carbon Fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide brakes (C/SiC) at the factory. There can’t be many cars, old or new, to match this performance along with the five seats and a boot.
