Pirelli Tyres – Pirelli Performance

Pirelli PZERO

Delivering the mighty power of the 911 Turbo S to the road with control and precision required the experts at Pirelli Tyres. The tyres for this car were developed by Porsche and Pirelli tyres in collaboration through the process known as homologation. The result, these PZERO tyres bear the “N” approval marking showing they are specifically designed for use by Porsche on their range of high-performance cars.

These Pirelli tyres should be changed in axle pairs and ideally in full sets using the highest numbered edition available. Porsche uses a number system to show when an update or improvement has been made to the design. Beginning with N0 and then N1,N2,N3 etc. If you are wanting the latest edition available, you need to look for the highest number available and fit matching variants wherever possible to the front and rear

Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet

This turbocharged version of the 992-generation model was first introduced in 2020, featuring Porsche’s classic 3.7 litre “flat 6” boxer engine, featuring one of the most advanced turbos in production at the time. The car has over 640hp and can get from 0-60mph in 2.2 seconds with its automatic gearbox and AWD technology featuring launch control. This makes this 911 one of the fastest convertible cars ever produced with a top speed of 205mph.

In January 2021 the 911 Turbo S completed the Nürburgring Nordshleife in 7:17.3 minutes making it the fastest production vehicle running on standard tyres at the time.

This car is even more special due to its rare colour. The Aventurine Green Metallic is sadly now discontinued. Fans of the colour green currently have to make do with Rock Green Metallic from the ultra-bespoke Paint to Sample (PTS) options list.

Some of you may remember the 911-993 model in the mid-1990s was available in Aventura Green Metallic. This new colour is like that but is enhanced with an even more pronounced green colour. Not quite as deep as the other Porsche colour ‘Agate Grey’ Metallic, this colour represents a return of the warm green tones that have not been officially available for many years.

This convertible has the factory upgraded wheel option featuring a single “centre lock” wheel nut. The nut can cause a problem for any DIY wheel changes as specialist tools and knowledge is required to safely remove and re-install these correctly to 400nm of torque (higher for track use). If you have this style of wheel lock, at Bush tyres fitting centres all technicians are fully trained and have all the correct equipment to safely remove the wheels and install your new tyres.
