V8 Aston Martin Vantage

Bush Tyres Boston, had a visit from this Mercedes powered 2019 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The owner visiting the team for a replacement tyre after suffering a puncture unfortunately too close to the sidewall to repair.

Pirelli P Zero A6A To The Rescue

The expert fitting team at Bush Tyres Boston supplied and fitted the Aston Martin Vantage with a new front 255/40ZR20 101Y tyre from Pirelli. The latest P Zero (PZ4) carries the A6A marking from the factory. This shows that Pirelli and Aston Martin worked in conjunction through the process known as homologation. The tyre has been tested and developed with specific designs that allow drivers to get the best performance from their Aston Martin cars.

The tyre will work on other makes and models, but this design has been constructed specifically to deliver optimal performance when used with Aston Martin vehicles. The new P Zero (PZ4) tyre is available in over 140 sizes from 17-23 in diameter suitable for fitment on many makes and models of cars and SUVs.

Aston Martin Vantage V8

The new generation V8 Vantage was first available in 2018, having being launched in November 2017. The all-new powertrain and infotainment systems finally working properly due to Aston Martin sharing technology from the Mercedes Benz group. Having all the mechanical and technological parts taken care of by the much larger car maker has allowed Aston Martin to focus more on the looks, noise and feel of the car without compromise.

The Mercedes 4.0 Litre twin- turbocharged V8 produces 503BHP and 505 ft of torque. This powertrain gets the new model Aston Martin Vantage from 0-62mph in only 3.6 seconds and to a claimed top speed of 195mph. The result is an Aston which performs as good as it looks and with a new infotainment system that actually works. Aston Martin has finally produced a highly desirable and powerful supercar you can reliably use every day without worrying about high servicing costs.

The new car uses the fantastic 8 speed automatic gear box from ZF Friedrichshafen, for the lucky few, Aston Martin also made a few rare examples with a traditional manual gearbox. Despite the engine being “front mounted” the new model has almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution and features an electronically controlled differential with torque vectoring.

This makes for a car that finally outperforms many rivals on the drive, that is before you even start the engine and hear that specially tuned exhaust note. This is the strongest difference over the other Mercedes powered cars and makes sure this is still distinctively an Aston Martin Vantage.
