Bush Tyres’ Andy Bray competes in Pirelli Mini Challenge!

A massive well done to Andy Bray for competing in his first ever Car Race last weekend, with Pirelli in the Mini Challenge at Donington Park.

Andy won the promotion -run by Pirelli and Group Tyre- earlier this year, which offered one employee from Bush Tyres an opportunity to take an ARDS test in preparation for driving a full-liveried car at Donington.

Driving a Lohen-run Mini Cooper, Andy contested THREE Cooper Class races, having only tested the car once prior to the race weekend!

Andy described the whole experience as “fantastic, a great event and a unique opportunity.”

He was even praised by Pirelli UK’s National Accounts Sales Manager, Phillip Rainford, who believed Andy showed real talent, “For someone who has never been behind a wheel of a racing car before Friday, Andy showed some real talent – he even kept a pack of cars behind him for most of the final race!”

It could have all gone wrong at first, when Andy had an incident on the first lap of race one, but they managed to get the car back on the track and in the next two races he was definitely on the right pace – just like a pro!
