The family owned company haverightfully earned their reputation as Lincolnshire’s and East Yorkshire’sleading independent tyre specialist, in both retail and wholesale, and they arecurrently setting standards that admiring competitors throughout the countryare finding hard to follow.
The success storybegan when Benjamin Arthur Bush, fondly known locally as Benny, ran a cycle shopin New Bolingbroke Nr Boston, Lincolnshire and shortly before World War IIresponded to growing public demand by adding the supply of pneumatic car tyresto his established cycle-tyre business. Following the war ‘B.A.Bush’ became a recognised tyre dealer and by 1947were fitting tyres to vehicles of all types. In 1962 the company re-located toits present head office site in the old Station Yard, Horncastle.
Under the direction ofBenny’s son Ivor, and now his grandson Nigel, the company has grown substantiallywith stores opening in Skegness, Stickney, Louth and the first of the ‘newlook’ branches in Sleaford. Spilsby replaced Stickney in 1986, with Sleafordproviding the blueprint for further expansion programmes at Boston, Beverleyand Grimsby. The growth continued across the region with depots opening inHull, Long Sutton, Scunthorpe and Kings Lynn, Hull, Bourne, and the state ofthe art facility at Spalding as well as Spalding Commercial. More recentlythere has been the new additions of Goole, Serviceline Hull and the super advancedwarehouse hub in Barton has cemented their position as one of most advancedindependent wholesalers in the UK. Bush Tyres recently developed a second siteat Grimsby, and the truck distribution hub – Wolds Commercial.Alongside this continual growth and development, the company bought themajority share of Endyke tyres – a vastly successful distribution and retailcustomer in the Hull Area.
In 2010, Bush Tyres joined with fellow GroupTyre Members Elite Garage and Tanvic Group to form Grouptyre Wholesale (GTW), apioneering a distribution company that delivers unparalleled tyre stocks andservice to tyre retailers across through the South. The success of this business has led to anexpansion from its Aylesbury site to a second site in Brentwood in recent yearsto further enhance its service offering.
Bush Tyres is a proud founding member of Grouptyre and they continue to workclosely with other Grouptyre members to develop the success of the nationalbusiness.

Christmas has arrived early in our Spalding Branch when a visit from two cars which are more than capable of helping Santa deliver his presents faster on Xmas eve. The mighty R33 GTR and an exceptionally rare Lotus Omega Carlton visited for a free WINTER check.
Something a bit different visited our Spilsby depot earlier in the year. ‘Gasser Champ’ Sean Milsom brought in some loose wheels for new tyres to be fitted to his modified Morris Van ahead of competing at Santa Pod and Melbourne Raceways in the ‘Gasser Circus’ race series.
This 1972 Plymouth ‘Roadrunner’ visited our Horncastle Branch recently for a wheel alignment. This huge American muscle car has a 6.6 litre 402 cubic inch V8. With great power comes great responsibility........
