New Ramp For Lowered Car Fans
Article written by Bush TyresSlammed
A new floor level lift was recently installed at Spalding Branch. This new four post lift allows for even the lowest of lowered cars to be worked on safely and easily.
Rise of Lowered Cars
In the UK and across the world there is a growing trend with both manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers towards making lowered cars. Most of these are fitted with fully adjustable coil over suspension, some advanced systems include air ride that allow the driver to adjust the ride height from a control panel located in the car in real time. Bush Tyres Spalding have recently added a new In-floor lift complete with a state-of-the-art alignment system. This facility allows the team to work on some of the lowest cars on the road today and continue leading the way in geometry setups for cars in Lincolnshire and beyond.
If you follow our social media pages you may recall seeing this stunning Nissan R33 GTR. Sent to us by regular customer, SR Autobodies the car had recently undergone a full restoration and colour change to green. The car now looks factory fresh, with an underbody you could “eat your dinner off.” It is always a pleasure to work on these cars and be trusted by the owners to carry out their wheel alignments. Over the years we have seen some incredible machines.
Our Endyke Tyres location in Hull have had floor level lifts since the the 1990s. More recently they had the privilege to work on some award-winning lowered cars. One example is this recently completed Porsche 996 cabriolet. Built by Rob at Elite Bodyworx using a Miles Works Automotive kit.
It is currently known to be the only completed convertible example in the world. Featuring air suspension, the car is fully height adjustable, this enables it to be used on roads when raised and then fully lowered for the ultimate low and wide appearance when parked. The car recently won awards for the paint finish and the incredible custom Radian forged alloy wheels.
Another car aligned by Endyke was built by Callum at Dopegfx. Taking his current generation Toyota Supra and fully customising it, including (controversially) BMW Sao Paulo paint. The bright lime colour is a nod to the engineering underpinnings provided by BMW and their partnership with Toyota. The car also includes air ride and features yet another stunning set of Radian Forged alloy wheels.
The car has featured in Slammed UK and has recently won awards at the NEC Gravity Show in Aug 2024. The show is run annually by Slammed UK exclusively for modified lowered cars. The next show is set for Aug25 at the NEC. Bush Tyres are always happy to support members with any special alignment requirements on their project cars throughout the East Riding and Lincolnshire and beyond.
