Faulty TPMS Sensor Replaced

This Lamborghini Huracán suffered a damaged TPMS sensor. Bush Tyres Boston replaced the faulty sensor and checked the rest of the system saving the customer from a long and expensive journey to the main dealer. Since Nov 2014 TPMS sensors have been a legal requirement to be fitted to every new vehicle.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensors

Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPMS) sensors are an integral part of modern road safety. Sensors built within the valves stems share tyre pressure information with the car’s computer ‘live’ and in real time. If the system detects any significant changes a warning light is displayed on the dashboard. If this happens you should reduce your speed immediately and find a safe place to pull over and check all your tyres for any damage or punctures.

A sudden loss of pressure can be dangerous, especially at motorway speeds. As well as tyre pressures, you should visually check your tyres for any signs of wear or damage before every journey. This is especially important for motorway journeys and longer trips.

At Bush Tyres we offer a FREE inspection of your TPMS. This check includes all tyre pressures and the electronic system, including, where possible, the battery status of the sensors. After the pressures are set to manufacturer specification, your TPMS system is then reset. If any faults are present after this, we can replace TPMS valves where necessary. This is exactly what this Lamborghini visited for; the faulty sensor valve was replaced with a fully coded OEM sensor.

The owner now has the confidence that the TPMS system is fully working and also fully road legal when it comes round to its next MOT.

Lamborghini Huracán LP 640-4 Evo (2019–present)

The Huracán received a mid-cycle update in 2019, now called the Huracán Evo, the car shares its engine and some of the technology with the older Performante variant. The updated version has a new front bumper with integrated Aeroblades, and a revised rear spoiler design improves downforce by 5 times as compared to the outgoing model. There was also a new rear diffuser and changes to the exhaust system.

The engine generates 631 hp and 601 Nm of torque. The exhaust note is more refined and now has titanium intake valves.  The new Huracán gets from 0–60 mph in 2.9 seconds, and a top speed of 202 mph!  This new Huracán has rear-wheel steering system and a torque vectoring system for improved handling.

The car also has magnetorheological suspension that is also revised and uses electromagnetic current to adjust the suspension system in accordance with the driving mode. The transmission from the outgoing model is the same as the older models and transfers power to all four wheels. A new “Ego” mode now allows the driver to change driving settings to suit their own driving style.
