Hankook remains exclusive tyre partner for W Series
Article written by Bush TyresHankook is once again the official tyre partner for W Series. Thecooperation is heading into its third season. This means that the world’s only all-female single-seater series will continue to race with thehigh-end Ventus Race tyre at eight Formula 1 weekends in 2022.
Hankook has been a W Series partner since the formula racing seriesdebuted in 2019. The renewed involvement for this season sees the premium tyrepartner remain true to its philosophy of providing targeted support to motorracing drivers. This applies in particular to female drivers, for whom W Seriesrepresents an opportunity to gather experience in a professional environment atsome historic circuits. In recent years, the Hankook race tyre has proved to bea strong and reliable partner in a wide range of conditions, and itsconsistency and predictability has made it a key factor in the drivers’development process.
This year will see W Series racing on the Formula 1 support card for thesecond time, having already done so in 2021. The schedule features eightvenues, five of which will be new circuits for the formula series: this listincludes Miami, Japan and Mexico. One driver hotly tipped to be in contentionfor the title in the cockpit of the 270 HP car is Jamie Chadwick. The23-year-old claimed overall victory in the 2019 debut year, repeating the featin 2021 after the 2020 season was cancelled due to the pandemic. Six wins froma total of 14 races for the speedy Brit tell their own story, but she has alsobeen immensely consistent and has missed out just twice on a podium finish.

Bush Tyres Boston, had a visit from this Mercedes powered 2019 V8 Aston Martin Vantage. The owner visiting the team for a replacement tyre after suffering a puncture unfortunately too close to the sidewall to repair.
