Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Performance Exhaust Install
Article written by Bush TyresThis striking Verde Scandal, 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ recently visited our Horncastle Branch for the fitting of a JCR Developments Titanium Race Pipe. The car now sounds as loud as it looks.
Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
This Aventador SVJ is finished in a very bright green colour, Verde Scandal. This one really stands out as one of only 900 SVJ models produced from a total of over 10,000 cars. Aventador production started in 2011 and the enhanced SVJ model was released in 2018, this is an even more performance focussed model than its predecessor. With enhanced active aero and the tuned 6.5L V12 engine now producing over 750hp. Coupled with an ISR, robotised transmission and all-wheel drive, the car can get from 0-62mph in 2,9seconds and a top speed of over 217mph. The Aventador, is named after a Spanish fighting bull that fought in Zaragoza, Aragón, in 1993. The model’s name SVJ – or "Super Veloce Jota", means "Super Fast Jota." The word "Jota" is a category of car name historically applied to race cars. Its origin coming from an Italian dance, usually played in the super-fast beat of "triple time".
With ever increasing pressure on vehicle emissions, any replacement Aventador is likely to be hybrid powered. Possibly with a similar powertrain inspired by the very limited-edition Sian Hypercar. The Sian has a Hybrid engine Petrol/Electric but thankfully keeps the beating heart of a Lamborghini V12 at its core.
JCR Developments Titanium Race Pipe (Non-Silenced)
If the standard SVJ is still just a bit too quiet and understated for your Supercar needs – this bespoke custom rear section from JCR replaces the bulky and noise reducing standard exhaust. The standard silencer separates the sounds into two separate banks of 6 cylinders. This custom pipe now combines them with cylinder mixing. As you can see, and hear from the video, this allows the SVJ to now produce the full V12 symphony in all its "flame-spitting" glory. The owner of this special car entrusted the team at our Horncastle Branch who took extreme care not to damage any of the panels or fixings and replace every bolt back to factory settings. The new pipe was able to be installed without affecting the engine management software. This means no further tuning or coding was required.
This exhaust now gives the SVJ the exhaust sound it should have had from factory. That glorious V12 can breathe better, allowing for greater throttle response and should also help increase overall power! Combined with the weight saving of 16.9kg, you will now be able to hear where the car went- even if you didn’t happen to see it on its way past!

Something a bit different visited our Spilsby depot earlier in the year. ‘Gasser Champ’ Sean Milsom brought in some loose wheels for new tyres to be fitted to his modified Morris Van ahead of competing at Santa Pod and Melbourne Raceways in the ‘Gasser Circus’ race series.
This 1972 Plymouth ‘Roadrunner’ visited our Horncastle Branch recently for a wheel alignment. This huge American muscle car has a 6.6 litre 402 cubic inch V8. With great power comes great responsibility........
Mobile tyre fitting is a popular choice for many private and commercial customers. Brandon Hire Station have over 160 locations nationwide and a vehicle fleet in excess of 200.
