This 2018 Audi R8 V10 Plus came to our Horncastle branch for a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tyres. The team carried out a special wheel balance using the Haweka Quick Plate.

2018 Audi R8 V10 Plus
Most of us over 30 will remember the futuristic “RSQ” Audi featured in the film “I, Robot” with Will Smith in 2004. The floating car concept for the film was built on the earlier Audi TT platform. But Audi’s vision of the future clearly laid the path for the release of a road car shortly afterwards. By 2006 Audi created the first real Supercar you can drive every day, the Audi R* was born.
Some critics may have found the design a little understated compared to more flamboyant Lamborghinis and Ferraris of the time. A relatively understated but well-built, reliable supercar you can comfortably drive every day! This car was the answer to a lot of questions, buyers were asking for a modern supercar with the refinement of a luxury saloon. Add to that recipe a sonorous 5.2 litre V10 engine, revving to over 8700 rpm and producing over 612hp, you can quickly see and hear what made the R8 so popular.
This owner’s car is a second-generation car, a type 4S, with 0-60 times of under 4 seconds and a top speed of 207mph. This really is a Supercar in every way possible. The power is driven to all four wheels in Audi Quattro tradition through a complex yet efficient 7 speed dual clutch transmission that provides effortless driving day to day and race car levels of performance when required.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Seen here on the R8 in 305/30ZR20 103Y XL “AO” rear and 245/30ZR20 90Y XL “AO” front sizes. The AO stamp of approval confirms the tyre was designed and tested by Michelin and Audi in conjunction in the factory process known as homologation. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Special wheel balance was carried out using the Haweka Quick Plate. This specially designed adaptor uses the same stud pattern as your wheels. This extra precision also combined with our latest wheel balance equipment means the wheels will be balanced even more accurately than before. The plate also reduces the risk of any damage by holding the wheel in the correct position.
