The Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season LR
For as long as we can all remember, Pirelli tyres have been fitted to Land Rovers and Range Rovers. JLR and Pirelli began their close working relationship in the 1970s when Pirelli created the Cinturato P5 for Jaguar. For the Range Rover, the car manufacturer set Pirelli engineers the task to achieve the lowest emissions possible while maintaining the cars off road ability. This new Pirelli Scorpion Zero is the most impressive tyre they have developed for this application so far. The tyre also carries the "LR" marking, meaning it has been specifically developed for use on JLR vehicles. With class leading rolling resistance to help fuel emissions, the Scorpion Zero All Season also maintains its off-road abilities. The tyre was created specifically for Ultra High Performance (UHP), for use on the worlds best SUV and 4×4 vehicles. The Pirelli was tested on the toughest roads in the UK, Italy, Germany, Sweden, and Spain. The tyres also passed the all-important "Hill Test" where the car is driven up a hill at constant speed, but then also across it to test the lateral grip in wet grassy conditions. These developments help give these tyres not only the best rolling resistance in class but also the world-class off-road ability expected from a Range Rover.
