Pirelli Winter tyres and Special Balance for this Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T

This stunning Ferrari recently visited our Horncastle Pirelli Performance Centre for a new set of Pirelli W270 Sottozero Serie II. Making the most of this Ferrari’s incredible performance throughout the winter. As a Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain member, the owner was also able to claim £120 cash back from Pirelli.

Successor to the Ferrari FF, the GTC4 Lusso T is now Ferrari’s pinnacle Grand Tourer. It is currently the best option for a 4-seat arrangement from the marque. Their controversial SUV, the Purasange, arrives later in the summer 2023, taking Ferrari away from its more traditional formats. It has divided opinions amongst its customers, any true Ferrari "Tifosi" can agree that the GTC4 is the ultimate Ferrari Grand Tourer with either of the normally aspirated V12 or the newer and more efficient V8 Turbo powerplants.

This fine example has the newer 3855cc twin turbo V8, incredible performance, with 602hp and 760nm of torque.  Driver experience is maintained, this newer engine now sends all that power directly to the rear wheels. This engine and the RWD only drivetrain help Ferrari meet the ever-increasing pressure on emission regulations. Another interesting feature of this car is its four-wheel steering system. If you catch one up close, you can see the rear wheels moving to help the car manoeuvre itself. This gives the GTC4 agility, and the overall feeling of a car with a much shorter wheelbase. With a top speed of 199mph and a 0-62 time of 3.5 seconds, we can’t think of many better ways for four adults to travel in style and comfort.

Pirelli W270 SottoZero Serie II

These tyres have been fitted to these stunning factory optioned Forgerd Matt Grigio Corsa wheels, in sizes 23535ZR20 and 28535ZR20. These are specified by Ferrari with a slightly narrower section width than the summer tyres. This allows the tyre to cut through the snow with its reduced footprint. The tyre is designed specifically for use in winter conditions, optimised for the best winter grip using special compounds and more rigid tread blocks. Additional sipes in the tread design also help improve grip. The tyre is recognised as one of the best available for any Sports or Supercar. Many manufacturers recommend this tyre through their homologation program with joint development and approval from Ferrari and Porsche, Mercedes, Audi and BMW to name a few.

Special wheel balance using a Haweka Quick Plate

A special wheel balance was also carried out using the Haweka Quick Plate. This specially designed adaptor uses the same stud pattern as your wheels. Reducing the risk of any damage by holding the wheel in the correct position. This extra precision also combined with our latest wheel balance equipment means the wheels will be balanced even more accurately than before.
